Rugby League World Cup 2021 shortlisted at the Sport Industry Awards

Rugby League World Cup 2021 have been nominated for the Data and Business Impact Award at the 2021 Sport Industry Awards, in collaboration with Goodform.

The tournament has exceeded ticketing expectations despite the challenge of the pandemic, equipped with insights generated by Goodform – the Official Data and Insight Suppliers for the tournament.

Rugby League World Cup 2021 have attained a holistic audience understanding through a combination of Goodform’s Sportswise data analytics and integrated fan research programme, which have steered strategy for sales phases, and long-term financial modelling and scenario planning.

In the process, Rugby League World Cup 2021 have: engaged relatively untapped Rugby League audiences in London and Newcastle; delivered trailblazing messaging including a guaranteed refund policy, and launched an instrumental social impact programme.

In a recent Q & A with Goodform, Rugby League World Cup 2021 CEO Jon Dutton remarked:

Kicking off on 23rd October 2021, Rugby League World Cup 2021 will be the biggest and best Rugby League tournament to date. It will feature the men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions for the first time in one event, as well as already successfully carrying out the first ever Rugby League World Cup ticket ballot.
